Wind Gap Cemetery

The Wind Gap Cemetery was acquired by St. Peter's Church when it merged with Trinity Church of Wind Gap in 2009. This is the cemetery that is adjacent to the church property, at the intersection of Church Road and Teels Road. (The cemetery across the street from the church is Plainfield Cemetery, which is not associated with St. Peter's Church.)

Director of the Wind Gap Cemetery Board are as follows: Donald & Joanne Bortz, John Campbell, Bill Kessler, Donna Mikol and Dean Sanders.

Officers are as follows:

Donna Mikol, Secy.
John Campbell, Treas.
Donald Bortz, Supt. of Grounds

The board accomplished the following during the year:

• A draft of the revised By-Laws and Rules & Regulations were approved by council subject to congregational approval of the revised Constitution of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church – first approved at the congregational meeting of November 20, 2011. (final approval to be made at the annual Congregational meeting scheduled for February 26. 2012).
• Investments were made at various banks.
• Annual budget for 2012 was prepared.
• All other duties necessary in maintaining the cemetery in a dignified manner.
• 21 plots were sold.
• 18 full burials.
• 5 cremations.
